Malaysians generally love seeing all things Malaysian in pop culture. That’s why, when we see Malaysian stuff on TV or in a movie, we love to talk about it. We love describing everything about Malaysia to people in other countries; the good and the bad. Here are a few instances of Malaysian cars making cameos in pop culture.

#4 Mr Bean’s Golf Ball and the Proton Saga

Jason was only eight years old when he found his passion in life. A very loud and fast machine moved past him when he was on a road. With its lights, sounds, and fierce movement, it was almost like the machine had a life of its own. That machine, which he later understood to be a car, filled little Jason with so much fascination that to this day, his love for cars continues. He seeks to know all he can about cars and the engines that make them come alive. The speed of the car, the sound of the engine, the curves of its body and every part that forms a car keeps his passion burning.

For Jason, the only other thing he loves more than cars and engines is his family. An important push factor for Jason is his older brother who has demonstrated many good values and principles for him to follow. At a very early age, he had already noticed the burning desire Jason had towards cars. As such, it was his brother who pushed him towards pursuing a future in automotive technology. His brother continues to encourage and support his dreams. “Go and achieve it without any fear. I am always here for you,” are his brother’s words that Jason keeps close to his heart, and this encouragement continues to drive him to go further.
