PETALING JAYA 30th May 2015 – Nearly 300 special guests had the time of their lives during The Otomotif College (TOC) Foundation Day Charity Carnival held at its campus in Petaling Jaya on Saturday.

The ‘guests’, mainly underprivileged children from Zotung Refugee Catholic Learning Centre (ZRCC), Rumah Hope, Spastic Children’s Association of Selangor & Federal Territory, Agathians Shelter for Boys and Rumah Kasih Sayang Bandar Tasik Puteri indulged in a whole day of fun and games.

The all-time favorite dunking machine was a huge hit when TOC top management including Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Adelaine Foo; Chief Commercial Officer, Aien Mokhtar; Training Director, Allan Cabiles; General Manager of TOC Australia, Tim Firth; and TOC Marketing Manager, Ada Foo volunteered for the task.

Adelaine Foo says, she was pleasantly surprised to see the turnout this year and announced that the Charity Carnival will be an annual Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) event by TOC.

“This is the one day that we get to be selfless. When we have everything in our lives, sometimes we forget to be grateful and share what we have,” Foo spoke when officiating the TOC Foundation Day Charity Carnival on Saturday.

Foo added that the main objective of the carnival was to raise funds for the TOC Scholarship Foundation to help youths who have passion for cars to get globally-recognised accreditation at TOC and secure their places in the automotive industry.

“For the 2014 academic year, we awarded scholarships and awards worth more than RM140,000. This year, we aim to raise more than RM200,000,” she said.

The TOC Scholarship Foundation was established last year to provide Form Five school leavers from underprivileged families with professional automotive education and the opportunity to pursue a career in the vibrant local automotive industry.

Among the corporate sponsors who have generously contributed to the foundation this year are The Millennium Auto & Carriage (Mofaz) Sdn Bhd, Senaxis Sdn Bhd, QW PLUS Sdn Bhd and NS Auto USJ Sdn Bhd.
