TOC to hold open day
PETALING JAYA: The Otomotif College (TOC), the pioneer automotive college in Malaysia, will be organising an Open Day at its Petaling Jaya campus on Saturday, December 14, 2013 from 10 am till 4 pm to provide secondary school students and parents an insight into the pathway to a successful career in the automotive industry.
According to TOC Chief Operating Officer Thin Lee Chean, the college has an unrivalled record in producing top quality professionals for the automotive industry since 2004 and securing lifetime career placement for its graduates.
“We strongly encourage those who have a passion for cars to come and find out more at our Open Day. The booming automotive industry provides numerous career opportunities. At TOC, we offer internationally accredited and recognised diploma courses that make our graduates some of the most sought-after in Malaysia and the region,” he said.
Visitors to the TOC Open Day can have a first-hand look at the college’s cutting-edge facilities, including its training workshop equipped with the latest diagnostic equipment and tools and its very own fleet of vehicles.
The star of the TOC Open Day would be the TOC Motorsports Team’s pride and joy, a 149hp Proton Satria Neo R3 that finished a credible seventh out of 28 teams at the recent 2013 Sepang 1000KM (S1K) Endurance Race.
TOC is the only automotive college in Malaysia that offers a diploma course in Motorsport Technology along with a full-fledged motorsport division.
The TOC Open Day will have a carnival-like atmosphere with plenty of games and attractive prizes, including cash vouchers, to be won. Titan Suspension and Motorsport Playground will be displaying their tuned and fully-kitted demo cars while premier Japanese car tuning magazine Option will be promoting its English-language edition for the Malaysian market. Other participants include Jobscentral and Doctor Job.
