Row, Row, Row your Boat, Strongly down the Stream!

Inaugural international student outing to Sungai Itek, Kampar Perak for some water rafting!

It’s a rare sight to see so many people gathering in college so early on a weekend, but at the end of last month, all you could hear was the buzz of excitement from staff and students alike.

Why you ask? It was the inaugural international student outing to Sungai Itek, Kampar Perak for some water rafting! For some, it was not only the first time they water rafted, it was also their first time riding the back of a lorry! Quite an experience we must say…

First thing the students were briefed about was about safety naturally, everyone got a crash course on what the commands mean, and the do’s and don’ts.

And off they went!

Students were absolutely thrilled by the fast flowing rapids, as they paddled through the rapids. Just take a look at their faces, priceless! This is what we called an adventure.

After hours of fun (and not to mention a good workout!), everyone adjourned to refreshments and later headed back home. It was a great day out and everyone’s already counting down to the next outing.

The rafting activity continued for a mere 3 hours or so and they later on adjourned to refreshments. The participants called it a day. At 1.30pm, they were ready for their journey back to TOC. It was a fun and exciting day for all participants and they are definitely waiting for the next outing planned by the Office of Students Affair.
