There are pros and cons to everything, even car modification. However, there are many motor-heads out there that simply love to modify their cars. Some even try to save some money just to modify/upgrade their cars. We probably know someone who are addicted to car modification. Is it yourself though?
So, looking into their perspective, let’s get down and understand why car modification is addictive to certain individuals. From tuning to accessories to colours, it is considered a mod (it just depends how far you go into it).

Let’s say they just got a new stock car, their hands get itchy and start imagining ways to turn the stock car into a modified car. That is where the fun comes in. You start planning, researching and even saving money to modify your car. Not many people mod at a single-go. This means, most of them do it step-by-step. They can start from the rims (even choosing rims is fun), to body-kits, to engine and the list goes on. As they progress more into it, the more fun it would be to finally see the complete outcome.
STANDING OUT

Come on, when you put your creativity and money into something, of course you want it to stand out right? Modifying cars is another way to stand out from the ordinary. Imagine someone coming up to you and say, “Hey, nice mod!” That compliment is satisfying and makes the driver feels good. Sometimes, they feel their car looks boring, so it need a little “sparkle” on it to make it look more outstanding.
BEING UNIQUE

The way their car is mod, speaks a lot about a person. Example, if the colour you choose is bright and colourful or just plain and simple, that already speaks a lot about someone. The car, in a way, symbolizes the driver; and that alone, is unique.

Some people might think that, if their car can have better performance, why not? Even slight adjustments can make all the difference. The addiction can somewhat turn into; a competition. Not literally but egoistically. They want their car to look at the “baddest” on the road & that gets the driver excited. However, some car enthusiasts take modification as a hobby to showcase it in a car show.

This may be a no-brainer because realistically speaking, people who love cars will tend to mod their cars. However, loving cars and doing something with it can make them feel better. If you love your own creation, at the end of the day, it doesn’t matter what anyone else has to say. Some people mod for satisfaction, some people mod for creativity, and some people, mod for car racing.
PEACE OF MIND
People do different things to put their mind off things. Some read, some exercise, some jog and some, well, mod their cars! Some say, modifying their car keeps them busy and it makes them forget about the stress they’re having. For some, it is a way to relax and enjoy their free time doing what they love.
