WHAT ARE YOU CURRENTLY UP TO NOW?
I am currently in the midst of starting up my own automotive detailing centre; which is something I have been keen for a very long time. I was previously working for BMW Ingress Auto in the Body & Paint department as well as handling accident claims, analyzing and calculating costs of repairs.
HOW HAS TOC CHANGED YOUR LIFE?
Ever since I was young, I have a fond liking for cars. Growing up, I realized that my knowledge about cars is limited. So, I decided to pursue my education in the automotive industry. I never regretted it as it expanded my knowledge about cars and the industry itself. Getting my automotive education made me so confident about my dreams and I was obsessed with it. I now no longer have to be afraid when my car breaks down as I know what to do. The more I learn, the more addicted I got, in a good way; that made me find my true path and calling.
THOUGHTS ON THE AUTOMOTIVE INDUSTRY
Automotive technology never sleeps. It is fast-paced and advances every year. If you love this industry, never get left behind and try to keep up with the pace because that is the fun part of it.
CURRENT HOBBIES
I like chilling night drives. I personally find it peaceful and calm. I also like playing badminton during my free time.
ADVICE FOR STUDENTS WHO WANTS TO PURSUE AN EDUCATION IN THE AUTOMOTIVE INDUSTRY
Loving cars and understanding about cars are two different things. When you love cars as it is; looking at its exterior/interior and judging its performance, it is just the outside of it all. However, understanding it is about entering the world of car systems and knowing how it works. If you love the best of both worlds, I would say go for it and pursue your goals. Always be sure of what you want to pursue, and that will leave you satisfied.
FAVOURITE CARS AND WHY
I do not have a particular favourite car but I do have a favourite car brand which is BMW. I have driven many brands but I personally feel that BMW have the best handling. After all, no matter how powerful your car is, without good handling, it would not be fun at all!
