Love the racing scene? Love the excitement of working on race cars? Then the motorsports scene is definitely for you! Take up the motorsport technology course to gear you up. Next thing you know, you’ll be at the race track.

·        Race strategist, tire specialist, tuner, motor racing engineer

As a motorsports engineer, you will also be the master of the car. Not only will you be strategizing on the race but also to tune the car to perfection. You will work on the design of the car, testing, and production. Your day-to-day duties may include assessing new ideas for performance and safety, designing prototypes, testing on all components, monitoring engine speed, fine-tuning the vehicle and carrying out after-tests to look for damage after a race.

·        Team principal, team owner

The team principal and owner is the person who owns and is in charge of a certain team during each race. They are mainly responsible for giving out team orders just like a football manager. A team principle also strategizes, creating new ideas, and running the team. To sum it all up, the team principal is the one who has the final say.

·        Motorsports technician

Similar to a motorsports engineer, a motorsport technician is also responsible for maintaining the car. However, the technician is the one repairing and improving the car performance. Most of the time, the technician will also be involved for in-race repairs and pit-stops.

·        Team manager

The team manager will mainly be responsible for the overall management and the operational side of the race, as well as the development of business strategy.

·        Hospitality, logistics, sponsorship, media

Want a change and do something out of the technical area? Well, you can too! Instead of that, you can be in charge of the media department (PR/Advertising and media). You will be liaising with the media for motorsports awareness and drafting out press releases. Apart from that, you will also liaise with partners for sponsorship purposes. On the hospitality side, it is somewhat like a PR job too. You will communicate with partners, media, and alliances during races or throughout a race event.

·        Production & manufacturing

The industry for motorsport racing is fast paced and race teams are always on the lookout for new and improved technologies. You can be at the production and manufacturing side, providing what the race team needs. You can look at it two ways; be at the sales sector of the motorsport production and manufacturing team or be inside the production and manufacturing department.

·        Mechanical, research & development, powertrain, aerodynamics

If you are a person who likes to research and work on something, this might be it. You will be responsible for the mechanics of a vehicle, always researching and delivering new technologies or components to achieve greater results. Apart from that, you will also have the chance to research on prototype vehicles that are suitable for drivers. Although similar to a race strategist or tuner, you are more towards to studying and researching of a vehicle.
