Gearing up for Chinese New Year 2020

It is finally year 2020! That being said, have you made any New Year resolutions? If no, it would be great for you to create a bucket list. Since Chinese New Year is around the corner, let’s talk about some things that are somewhat related to the festivity & automotive scene.

Last year, a company called “aegis paint shield”, completed a car wrap on a Lamborghini Urus; and boy, it was a whole mood! The theme was “Chinese New Year” and they definitely nailed it. They were going for something fun yet stylish at the same time and it did attract a lot of attention for Lamborghini Vancouver.

I mean, just look at that embroidery.

In celebration of Chinese New Year, Rolls Royce unveiled three specially commissioned Rolls-Royce Lunar New Year Cars under the Bespoke division. The three cars includes the Dawn, Ghost, and Wraith in the colours of Mugello Red, Aurum and Diamond Black.

Three Bespoke Cullinan’s were built in collaboration with the Mandarin Hotel Group and was showcased at the hotels.

Moving on, let’s talk a little bit about the colour “Red”.  When it comes to Chinese New Year, RED always symbolizes good fortune and joy. Red relates to fire and energy; symbolizing vitality. Red envelopes or rather “Hong Bao” brings good luck and usually given by the married to the unmarried.

Talking about the colour RED, why do some people prefer red cars? If you search in many websites, most of it will say about the same thing. People who prefer red cars are normally fun and impulsive. They are people who craves for attention and someone who has high- energy. Most of the sites would refer them to “outgoing and ambitious”. This site says “Extrovert drivers choose a red car and they are more likely to drive faster, thinking the colour makes them more visible”. Well, what do you think about that statement?

On another related note, back in 2017, the car video game called “Asphalt 8” released a Lunar New Year update for their cars.
