This car may not even be in your radar when choosing a badass car to survive the apocalypse. But here’s something to think about: most vehicles runs on fuel. Fuel will undoubtedly be a rare commodity when the zombie apocalypse breaks out. Without fuel, your zombie crushing tanker is nothing more than a set piece on the road. With a Tesla Model S, your fuel problems are a thing of the past. As long as you have an electric source, you’re good to go. Now, you might be thinking, won’t the batteries run out quickly? And won’t electric generators be failing everywhere in the zombie apocalypse? Well, it seems Tesla founder and owner Elon Musk has thought of that as well. Tesla’s Superchargers, a network of battery charging stations will be powered by solar panels, and stored in electricity in lithium-ion battery packs,

2. Toyota Hilux

At every zombie apocalypse, you should be looking for something a little more universal and common. Our suggestion? The Toyota Hilux. It’s your everyday, unsexy, straight to the point pickup truck, but it’s also tough, and almost indestructible.  The Toyota Hilux has the guts and the power to bring you through a zombie apocalypse, perfect for ramming through tons of zombies in the city, or off road in the muddy areas of the jungle. It can also deal with 500kg of weight on its bed, or be able to pull up to 1,500kg of anything you want! Make the right choice and go for something that’s both economical and tough.

3. McLaren P1

Ah, a sports car. You may be wondering why we included it in. But think about it: The P1 is a plug-in hybrid (see Tesla Model S for example of why electric cars are good in an apocalypse) which means it gets 8.4 l/km in steady cruising and does even better with an electric charge. Of course, being a hybrid, solar power is always an option. The P1's got magnetic suspension that can immediately adapt to any road surface, whether it's post-apocalyptic or even just terrible Malaysian roads. And it’s speed...wow. No zombie’s gonna be able to catch up to you.

4. Land Rover Defender

Driving through an apocalyptic wasteland isn’t as fun as you would think. It’s not the roadtrip of a lifetime that you imagine it to be. You’ll need to go through mountains, deserts and crumbling ruined cities in search of fuel, food and water. That’s why you should be in the Land Rover Defender. This iconic vehicle can be adapted into almost anything you can think of to suit your purpose; tow trucks, military transport vehicles, mobile ambulances, caterpillar vehicles, fire engines, snow ploughs and rural police cars. You’ll never have to worry about a lack of vehicles ever again!

Now that you know the best cars for the zombie apocalypse, it’s time to start saving cash.
