I got first place in the entire of Malaysia in an Amphibious Electric Vehicle Competition. I was still in secondary school and went head-to-head with university students. They were way above my years.

But that didn’t put me off. This competition was also particularly special. I was the youngest, but I knew, I was the most prepared. Of course, I wouldn’t have done it without my dad. He is my inspiration. And he thought me everything I needed to know. I also owe it to a sense of curiosity and sacrifice. I was always eager to build something. And I would put aside time and money – even my meals – to better myself.

It’s amazing what determination and a sense of wonder can help you achieve. It always exceeds everyone’s expectations.
