The 4 Aston Martin Models Starring In The New James Bond Movie

The James Bond franchise has always been about the art of spying, cool gadgets, and of course, amazing action setpieces. The titular James Bond may be one of the coolest characters on screen, but in the upcoming 25th Bond film, there may be 4 other “characters” who may just steal the screen time.

Since the beginning, the James Bond franchise has always utilized the Aston Martin brand as Bond’s official car. In the new film, No Time to Die, Aston Martin will once again feature prominently, with not only one but four models representing the “past, present and future”. Aston Martin revealed on Twitter that Bond cars of the past will also be in this title, and it seems likely they'll be outfitted with the same sneaky spy gear you'd expect, along with escapes from low-flying helicopters and villains with big guns.

Here are some of the Aston Martin models that are confirmed to make an appearance in the film coming out in April 2020.

1. Aston Martin DBS Superleggera

The 715-hp Aston Martin DBS Superleggera will be featured in the upcoming film. The first time the DBS was featured in a Bond film was back in 1969 with On Her Majesty's Secret Service, and this will be the fourth time a DBS has been in the series.

2. 1964 Aston Martin DB5

No Time to Die will feature the classic DB5 from the 1964 film Goldfinger. The two-door tourer quickly became synonymous with the Bond franchise, complete with its ejector seat, oil dispenser, and revolving license plate to help the hero evade the bad guys.

3. 1987 Aston Martin V8 Vantage

If you prefer your Bond cars to be equipped with forward-firing missiles, lasers, and a self-destruct mechanism, the V8 Vantage from the 1987 film The Living Daylights checks these boxes. This car was way ahead of its time, as it also featured a taste of future car technology with a red head-up display on its windshield to help with missile targeting. A rear license plate that once flipped upward revealed a rocket, which gave the V8 Vantage a quick power boost.

4. 2021 Aston Martin Valhalla

The mid-engine Aston Martin Valhalla is also set to appear in this film, meaning it will showcase one of 500 the company said it will build. The Valhalla features an F1-inspired powertrain with a turbocharged V-6 hybrid system.
