11 Iconic Movie Vehicles Appeares In The Walmart Commercial!

It’s 2019 and Walmart in the USA is launching its brand new grocery pickup service. Of course, what better way to market a pickup service than to use a celebrity power? Well, a different sort of celebrity. See, Walmart pulled out all the stops to promote its new service, with an ad that premiered in the just concluded 2019 Golden Globe Awards. In the ad, they featured the most iconic vehicles all coming together to pickup their groceries from Walmart.

The video is only 1 minute and 30 seconds long, so many of you may not have been able to spot all the different vehicles which made an appearance. Well, we’re here to help you out with that. Here are the 11 iconic movie vehicles features in this ad.

1. The Batmobile from “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice”

Even the Caped Crusader needs to get his groceries done. The iconic Batmobile, as seen in the movie Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is used rather than the Nolan Batman’s Tumbler. Sleek.

2. Ecto-1 from "Ghostbusters"

Who you gonna call? Well, Walmart apparently called the Ghostbusters, who are back to driving the older Ecto-1 from the original films rather than from the recent reboot. Hope they won’t come across any ghosts on their grocery run.

3. Pontiac Firebird Trans Am from "Knight Rider"

This iconic Pontiac, nicknamed KITT, may remind those in the 80s of the adventures of the Knight Rider, where a sentient car teams up with David Hasselhoff to solve crime. Hey, maybe this is the kick needed for self-driving cars to finally do their own groceries!

4. Lightning McQueen from "Cars"

KA-CHOW! The beloved Lightning McQueen from the Disney/Pixar cartoon Cars makes his first live-action appearance, drifting in to Walmart’s carpark to pick up his groceries.

The iconic Mutt Cutts van, driven by Lloyd Christmas and Harry Dunne in the 1994 comedy classic, Dumb and Dumber also makes an appearance. Did you know that underneath those shaggy ears and all that fur is actually a 1984 Ford Econoline Van? Well, maybe they’re picking up some pet supplies from Walmart?

6. Mystery Machine from "Scooby-Doo"

Kids (well, now adults) from the 90s will be squealing when with the appearance of the Mystery Machine from Scooby Doo. Who knew Walmart carried Scooby Snacks?

7. Ford Explorer from "Jurassic Park"

Welcome to Jurassic Park, literally because the Ford Explorer Tour Vehicle is parked right out in front of Walmart. You may remember this iconic vehicle because it was destroyed by the T-Rex in that very thrilling sequence in the original Jurassic Park film. Keep a close eye out for the dinosaurs at the back too!

8. The Pumpkin Coach from “Cinderella”

The Pumpkin Coach is exactly as its namesake. It was a carriage made for Cinderella by her Fairy Godmother so she can attend the ball. At the stroke of midnight, this magnificent vehicle would turn back into a pumpkin, so Cinderella better not delay her grocery pickup!

9. The Flintstones' Car

Fred Flintstone's famous car, also makes an appearance, although we don’t see any feet powering it. Still, the Flintstone’s family needs their weekly groceries run done, and if their only mode of transport is a stone car, so be it.

10. Bumblebee from "Transformers"

Fresh from this turn in a spinoff Transformer’s movie, we see Bumblebee making his grocery rounds in Transformer form, before transforming into the more recognizable classic yellow VW Beetle. Autobots, roll out!

11. DeLorean from "Back to the Future"

It came from the future, but at 88mph, the Delorean is definitely coming into a time where groceries can be picked up from the store after buying it through an app. Definitely a surprise for Marty and Doc.
