4 Responsible Ways To Protect Your Car

Owning a car is one of the biggest commitments you can have in your life. Like your family, your car requires a lot of love and care from you in order to function properly. The importance of the role of cars in our lives is to help us remain safe and get to our destination.

Today we’re going to look at a few ways for you to responsibly take care of your car.

1. Have Wet Wipes Handy

Parking by the roadside in Malaysia is one of the most dangerous things for your car. We have tons of birds hanging out on the trees, and by extension, your car will be filled with bird droppings. If you don’t already know, bird droppings are highly acidic and, if you let your car get smeared by the droppings for a long time, it may just destroy your car’s paint work. Having a packet of wet wipes in your car to combat this issue is a much better alternative than paying through your nose to repaint your car.

2. Invest In Paint Protection & Rain Repellents

In rainy Malaysia, you should consider applying rain-repellents to your car’s exterior. Not only will this help improve visibility in rainy weathers, it will also help to keep your paint job relatively free from long-term rusting. Paint protection for your car is important as well, as this will help to bring back your car’s shine while reducing the maintenance needed for your paint job.

3. Use Car Mats

A car mat isn’t just a decorative item for your car; it helps to keep your car clean and stain-free. If you have a habit of snacking in your car (as we all do), a car mat will make it easier for you to clean up any crumbs or spills. It also applies to the dirt, mud and other nasty elements you bring into your car. This will help prevent unnecessary damage to your carpets, and possibly won’t leave everyone screaming when you want to give people a ride in your car.

4. Disconnect the Battery When Not In Use

Sometimes, we’re off travelling and we leave our trusty steed at home for a long period of time. However, it’s always good to remember to make sure your battery is either disconnected, or get a close friend or family member to help you start your car often. What happens is that when car batteries continue draining because certain electrical systems like your alarm and emergency lights are kept on even when not in use.

Remember, your car is what you sit in for almost 2-3 hours a day. Take care of it! What do you think about our tips? Leave a comment below!
