Cartoon-Inspired Cars!

You probably have your favourite cartoon series. It is even better if you have your very own cartoon-inspired car! Here is to listing a few cars that were inspired by cartoons or have similarities with a cartoon lookalike car. Not only are the cars cute to look at, but is definitely picture worthy as well!

Batmobile (Batman)

There are many avid fans of Batman around the world, but this fan, took his love for the character to another level. His name is Zac Mihajlovic from Australia. He took two years to hand-build his very own batmobile! However, he is not the first to replicate the batmobile vehicle, but his vehicle can be legally driven on roads. On a charitable side, he collaborated with Make-a-wish Foundation to make terminally-ill children’s dream come true.

Jetson Inspired Car

If you love retro cartoons, you have probably heard about “The Jetsons”. The 1956 Ford Beatnik Bubbletop resembles very much like the cartoon’s
“floatomotive” because of its bubble-top. The car concept was created by the late Gary Fioto. The vehicle is also the winner of the Darryl Starbird’s National Rod and Custom Car Show in 2006.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

The cartoon song gets everyone singing along! The iconic Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cartoon is loved by fans of all ages. A fan by the name of Brittney Schnek took a 1994 Dodge Caravan and eventually, turning it into the cartoon’s van, mimicking almost every details that she could possibly find.

Donald Duck Car

A real-life car has replicated the Donald Duck’s car, from the number plate “313” to its bright red exterior colour and white tires. As a matter of fact, even in the cartoon itself, a detailed diagram of the 313 was produced in 1998 by Claude Lacroix in a French journal. Who knew Donald Duck was such a gearhead?

The Mystery Machine- Scooby Doo

Many of us love this old-school cartoon! In 2002, Lou and Steve Raguse painted an old van, replicating the Scooby-doo Mystery Machine van. It became such a hit so they painted another 2 more vans to sell.

Mach 5 (Speed racer)

Speed Racer, also known as Mach GoGoGo, a Japanese Franchise cartoon was aired sometime during 1966. Being an iconic cartoon, the speed racer eventually came to life. The car was built by Mark Towle and is available for rent! It took him approximately 1 year to build the vehicle, embodying the exact same features as shown in the cartoon.

Of course there are many more cartoon-inspired vehicles around the world today. To name a few; The Ghostbusters Ecto-1, The Optimus Prime truck, Mater from Cars, and more!
